Messages must be sent to less than 100 students to come from a 10-digit phone number. If students respond to the text, their reply will be routed back to the staff member/department who request the text and will appear in My Conversations and their Fresno State email. Replies to student messages will be sent to the student as a text message and should meet the 160-character limit. Messages to 100 or fewer students: Texts will be sent from a rotating 10-digit number that is not attached to a particular person or a certain office at Fresno State Students can reply for up to 90 days (if there’s any response activity in the text chain, the 90 day clock resets) Student replies go to staff persons’ conversations tab in Bulldog Connect, and a notification email is sent to the Fresno State email account Students cannot opt-out
