AI Staff Assistant

NEW FEATURE

The AI-powered Staff Assistant enhances the Bulldog Connect staff platform by enabling users to perform various actions. These include creating notes, sending messages, and making referrals for students. The assistant also facilitates the creation of campaigns, student lists, and events. Additionally, it provides relevant information about the staff user, helps staff prepare for their day, searches for student information, summarizes student activity data, recommends report queries, and briefs users on upcoming appointments.

AI Staff Assistant is available in the bottom-right corner of any page on the Bulldog Connect staff platform.

Access the AI Staff Assistant by selecting the AI Staff Assistant icon in the bottom-right corner of any page on Navigate360.

The AI Staff Assistant opens.

The user may immediately ask the AI Staff Assistant a question. The user's question is not limited to the information on their current screen. For example, a staff member could be on their Staff Home page and use the Assistant to build a campaign, or be on the Cases page and ask the Assistant to help them prepare for upcoming appointments.

In addition, there are other useful tools in the chat window that can help staff:

• New Chat allows the staff user to start a new chat with AI Staff Assistant at any time

• History shows the last 30 days of conversations with responses between the user and AI Staff Assistant

• Quick Actions give the user idea starting prompts, like Prepare for an Appointment or Message a Student

What Users Can Do With AI Staff Assistant

The AI Staff Assistant allows users to undertake numerous actions from its interface. They are listed below. To get more ides check out this EAB Starter Pack:

Get Staff User Context

Example prompt: "Who am I?"
Returns information about you, including:

• Name, email, and work phone number

• Your personal availability link

• Your roles and user types

Create Note for One or More Students

Example prompt: "Create a note for this student" or "Add a note to these students" 

Create Appointment Request for a Single Student

Example prompt: "Create an appointment request for this student."

Create a Referral for a Single Student

Example prompt: "Submit a referral to the Career Development Center for this student."

Send a Message to One or More Students

Messages can be sent to 1 to 10 students. The AI Staff Assistant can generate content, allow a message preview, and then send the message. The user can personalize the content with extended merge tags.

Example prompt: "Send an email to this student"

Report Finder

This functionality uses AI to recommend the most relevant Navigate reports based on the user's request.

Example prompt: "What's the best report for appointments for the last 30 days?"

Create a Student List

Example prompt: "Please create a student list called High Attention"

View Student Lists

Example prompt: "What lists do I have?"

Delete a Student List

The AI Staff Assistant asks for confirmation of this before deleting.

Example prompt: "Please delete the High Attention list"

Add Students to a Student List

Example prompt: "Please create a list called High Attention and add Jerry Jones to it"

Remove Students from a Student List

The AI Staff Assistant asks for confirmation before removing students from the list.

Example prompt: "Please remove Jerry Jones from the High Attention list"
Asks for confirmation before removing.

Search for Students Based on Natural Language Criteria

Search results are limited to 200 students or less. The AI Staff Assistant asks to narrow criteria if this is exceeded.

Example prompt: "How many students have a GPA of 3.6 or less?"

Summarize Student Activity Data

Users can summarize information about one or more students. This feature provides comprehensive analysis, including student demographic and academic data, appointments, notes, and to-dos history, conversations and messages, alerts, assigned staff relationships, and Navigate360 Reports data.

Example prompts:

• "What can you tell me about this student?"

• "What can you tell me about my assigned students?"

The summary results deliver aggregate statistics, interesting trends, insights, recommendations, and suggested follow-up actions.

Guided Campaign Creation

When using this functionality, the campaigns the user can create are listed based on their existing permissions.

Example prompt: "Let's create a campaign."

• Appointment Campaign: Encourage students to schedule appointments

• Messaging Campaign: Email or text groups of students on specific dates

• Enrollment Campaign: Encourage enrollment for specific terms

• Event: Create events with registration and RSVPs

Create an Appointment Campaign with Nudges

After creating the appointment campaign, AI-generated nudges are offered to the user.

Example prompt: "Let's create an appointment campaign."

Create a Messaging Campaign with Nudges

After creating the messaging campaign, AI-generated nudges are offered to the user.

Example prompt: "Let's create a messaging campaign."

Create an Enrollment Campaign with Nudges

After creating the enrollment campaign, AI-generated nudges are offered to the user.

Example prompt: "Let's create an enrollment campaign."

Create an Event

After creating the Event, AI-generated nudges are offered to the user.

Example prompt: "Let's create an event."

Appointment Briefing

This functionality can return the user's appointments for the specified date range up to three months and includes information such as appointment name and type, date, start time, and end time, location, and meeting URL/phone, the meeting type, attendee count, and details (name, emails, primary IDs), and associate Care Unit.

Example prompts:

• "What does my schedule look like today?"

• "What's happening tomorrow?"

• "What's my schedule for this week?"

• "Show me my appointments between Monday and Friday."

Appointment Preparation

This functionality analyzes information about students attending an upcoming appointment, such as student activity data, conversation history, academic information, and trends, and provides comprehensive preparation materials, including:

• Appointment details

• Statistics and trends

• Insights

• Recommended topics for discussion

• Recommended preparatory actions
