Hand Raise

Hand Raise

Hand Raise allows students to “raise their hand” by issuing alerts on themselves, using the Navigate360 Student app on desktop or mobile. Your institution can configure the Hand Raise name and determine which Alert Reasons should be connected to students raising their hand. As with other Alert Reasons, each reason that can be issued by a student can send an automated email to the student, open a case, have a case auto assigned to an individual staff member or assigned relationship, send a case closed email, and be affiliated with a Care Unit.

When students use Hand Raise, they go to one of two places. First, they can access Hand Raise from the Quick Add menu on desktop or Quick Actions in the new mobile experience.

Second, they can go the menu and click Help. Your help title and text for this feature will appear along with the drawers for Advising and Technical Help.

The student then clicks Hand Raise (or the text your institution has chosen for the feature). A Hand Raise pop-up appears. The introductory text is customizable; reach out to NavigateTechSupport@eab.com to request an update.

The student will select a reason, if the reason is associated with a specific class, and any additional comments before clicking Submit to issue the alert. Note that the classes shown in the dropdown are the classes the student is currently enrolled in. If they are not enrolled in any classes, the dropdown will be empty.

Once the student has raised their hand, the alert appears in the My Docs section of Navigate360 Student.
