  1. Log onto My Fresno State portal

  2. From My Menu, select Security Requests

  3. Select New Security Request

  4. Select User Security Access

  5. Enter the ID of the person who needs advising access or enter the department

    1. If you are going to submit the request for multiple people within the same department.

  6. Check on the box next to the user and select Add.

  7. Verify the correct person was selected and select

  8. Under Campus Solutions (HCM) select the Student Advising (Non-Faculty) option or Student Advising (Student Advisors) depending on if the request is for professional staff or student advisor.

  9. For staff, choose Permanent Access. For students, enter the appropriate date range (one academic year maximum).

  10. In the text box, enter an explanation for the request.

    1. If Front Desk Access is needed, you would put the request here. (For example: Please give Front Desk access to the University Advising Center location.)
