Student Groups

Student groups are not automatically imported into Bulldog Connect. Send the four-digit Student Group code to bulldogconnect@csufresno.edu if you need it to read into Bulldog Connect.

Creating and Managing a PeopleSoft Student Group

  1. Submit a PeopleSoft Service Desk ticket to create a student group

  2. In the request description, include;

    1. The need for the student group (why is it needed)

    2. requested 4-digit code

    3. a short description of the group

    4. the department that will own the student group

    5. the Main Contact (Name, Emplid, and Email).

  3. Each person (Name, ID number, and Email) and level of access (Inquire, Add, and/or Remove) who can access the Student Group

  4. Request a copy of the Student Group User Guide and the Mass Student Group users guide

  5. Optional: If needed, create a second PeopleSoft Service Desk ticket for a query to be used to identify which students will be added/removed/replaced in the Mass Student Group process (if you do not have a way to get the list of students in some other report/process).

  6. If they do not have access to the “Records and Enrollment > Career and Program Information > Student Groups” or the “Fresno Custom >  Campus Community > Process > Mass Student Group Process” pages, then additionally submit a security request (MyFresnoState > Security Request) for the people to access these pages.

  7. Optional: (once the student group has been created) send the created Four-digit Student Group code to bulldogconnect@csufresno.edu if you need it to read into Bulldog Connect

Custom Categories

Custom cohort categories can be created for specific needs not addressed by the existing categories or majors. Please submit a TDX ticket for assistance.
